WHAT IS A WYOMING REGISTERED AGENT?  Every Wyoming corporation must have a registered agent in Wyoming.  The Wyoming registered agent serves as the point of contact for the Wyoming corporation.  For example, the state or federal authorities may require information by the resident agent.  Therefore, there must be someone present during regular business hours.  Most states call this point of contact the "registered agent", as they do in Wyoming.  In contrast, the same role is executed by the "resident agent" in Nevada.  Regardless of what they call it, having a registered agent is necessary and required by Wyoming law to maintain the corporation in good standing.
